This trim is built on a geometric diamond-pattern woven tape, with two-ply yarns braided into thick rope-like tassels. The braid is tight, while the ends open into fluffy fringe, creating a transition from tight to loose. The regular pattern of the tape and the fibrous texture of the tassels complement each other. When applied to a placket or hem, the row of tassels moves with the wearer, adding a dynamic decorative edge to knitwear.
Options: Trim width, braid thickness and tassel length can be adjusted to suit the style; the tape pattern can be changed to other geometric or ethnic motifs; tassel ends can be cut level or layered; yarn options include cotton, acrylic or wool to match the texture of the knitwear; the base fabric can also be switched to heavier fabric or leather.
Applications
Suitable for trims on sweater plackets, scarves, shawls, capes, cardigan hems and other knitwear and ethnic-style apparel; also used for bags, cushions, tapestries and other home and accessory decoration. The Bohemian and ethnic-style geometric thick-cord tassel has strong recognition in these product categories.
Customization process
Made to artwork. MOQ: 300 pcs; three simple samples are free; sampling fees for complex techniques can be credited against the order when it reaches MOQ; standard sampling takes 24–48 hours, while complex or combined techniques take approximately 3–4 working days; bulk production normally takes 5–10 working days, and rush orders can be prioritised in scheduling.
Production capacity
Dobest can undertake custom production of trims, tassels and combined techniques. The factory covers 3,000 m² and has more than 30 specialised computerised embroidery machines, with an annual capacity of approximately 1.5 million pieces. Tassel trims are produced through a combination of machine embroidery and hand braiding and trimming of the tassels. Before shipment, tassel length and drape are checked against the sample, and products are rolled or flat-packed by length.
