Ball-Chain Cord Embroidery | Teddy Bear Metallic Chain Bead-Chain Cord Embroidery
This embroidery reworks the classic teddy bear silhouette using an innovative metallic bead-chain couching technique: a ball chain formed from small linked beads serves as the stitching material, fed through a dedicated cord-laying device that turns smoothly along three-dimensional grid paths, while the hidden bobbin thread locks onto the fabric through each gap between beads, creating a strong mechanical metallic sheen and a contemporary feel under light.
Optional techniques
The metallic chain is available in bright gold, gunmetal black, antique silver, rose gold or iridescent electroplated ball chain, with bead diameters of 1.2–2.5mm. Beyond knitted cotton, the base fabric can accommodate sweatshirt French terry, denim, suede and polyester trench-coat fabrics. Custom options include three-dimensional wireframe outlines or partial contour edging.
Applications
Suited to main-visual artwork development for streetwear heavy sweatshirts, the chest area of trend-driven printed short-sleeve T-shirts, denim jacket backs, baseball cap front panels and premium-accessory luggage, with sampling from customer artwork converted into grid chain embroidery.
Customisation process
Customer supplies artwork (AI / PDF / high-resolution image) → colour, size and cord diameter confirmed → three simple samples produced free of charge → bulk production after approval. Sampling takes 24–48 hours, or 3–4 working days for complex techniques. MOQ is 300 pieces; bulk production typically takes 5–10 working days (subject to production scheduling confirmation), and rush orders can be prioritised.
Production capability
Chain turning and pitch are precisely calculated by a CNC system, so the chain runs flat without twisting and the locking stitches are firm and wear-resistant. The workshop is equipped with more than 30 special-embroidery computerised embroidery machines, with sampling and bulk production inspected against a unified acceptance standard.
