Chenille Embroidery + Flat Embroidery Combination | Heavy-Duty Letter Badge Gou-Leng Patch Customisation

This heavy-duty badge combines the thick, plush pile surface of gou-leng loop-pile embroidery with multi-colour dense-stitch flat embroidery: the base fabric is black velvet, the main motif is built up with gou-leng for a three-dimensional, undulating effect, and it is finished with metallic gold and silver threads and coloured flat-stitch edging. Hot-fix rhinestones and binding can also be added for a richly layered streetwear look.

Optional techniques

base fabric options include velvet, felt or twill; pile height on gou-leng areas is adjustable within 2–6 mm (2–4 mm commonly used); letters and motifs can use metallic thread, overlocked edge binding or chain-stitch outlining; patch backs can be supplied with heat-activated adhesive, self-adhesive or hook-and-loop fastening to suit garment sewing and later heat-bonding requirements.

Applications

suitable for chest, sleeve and back patches on streetwear jackets, heavy-weight sweatshirts, baseball jackets, denim jackets, workwear-style vests and fashion bags; custom-shaped patches and multi-technique composite styles can be developed from artwork.

Customisation process

customer provides artwork (AI/PDF/high-resolution image) → confirm colours, dimensions and pile height → three simple sample versions free of charge → bulk production after confirmation. Sampling takes 24–48 hours, or 3–4 working days for complex techniques; MOQ is 300 pieces, and bulk production normally takes 5–10 working days (subject to production scheduling confirmation). Rush orders can be prioritised.

Production capacity

dense flat-stitch and gou-leng pile threads are layered and registered to the artwork; dedicated equipment is used for hot-fix rhinestones and custom-shaped overlocking; the facility is normally equipped with more than 30 computerised embroidery machines for specialty embroidery, supported by laser cutting, heat pressing and finishing inspection. Sampling and bulk production follow the same technical standards.

Product FAQ · Quality & Craftsmanship
Q1:How does chenille embroidery differ from toothbrush embroidery?+
Chenille features continuous soft loops (plush, vintage collegiate vibe); toothbrush embroidery consists of sheared upright thread pillars (elastic, erect). For cozy, baby/kid wear, chenille is softer.
Q2:Will the chenille loops pull out or loosen during daily wear?+
Our machines lock each loop securely, backed with full-coverage hot-melt film that fuses into needle holes. Under normal wear, loops resist snagging or loosening.
Q3:What are the minimum dimensions for chenille embroidery?+
Minimum stroke width should be ≥4.0mm, and overall design size ≥50mm. Finer details are bordered with chain stitch (锁链针) or flat embroidery.
Q4:What is the MOQ and sampling lead time?+
MOQ is 300 pcs. Up to 3 simple samples are free. Sampling turnaround is 24–48 hours; bulk production takes 5–10 working days.
