Custom Chenille Embroidery | Butterfly Gou-Leng Chain Embroidery
This butterfly combines two stitch types: the wings use chenille loops to build a plush pile surface, while the wing veins and outline are stitched with chain stitch, pressing out the three-dimensional direction line by line. The loops are soft and the chain thread is firm; the contrast between the two textures makes the motif particularly eye-catching on denim.
Optional techniques
Chenille loops can be solid-color or sectioned multi-color; pile height can be set by zone within 2–6 mm (2–4 mm is commonly used). Veins and outlines can be changed to chain-stitch edging or flat-embroidery outlining. An appliqué backing can be added to enhance the edge profile. For embroidered patch construction, edge finishing and adhesive backing can be added.
Applications
Suitable for butterfly, floral, and leaf-vein motifs on denim jackets, jackets, sweatshirts, bags, and woven labels. Illustration designs with strong linework also deliver strong visual results with this stitch set.
Customization process
Customer provides artwork (AI/PDF/high-resolution image) → confirm colors, dimensions, and pile height → 3 simple samples provided free of charge → bulk production after approval. Sampling takes 24–48 hours; complex techniques take 3–4 working days. MOQ is 300 pcs; bulk production typically takes 5–10 working days (subject to production scheduling confirmation). Rush orders can be prioritized in scheduling.
Production capacity
For transitions between fine lines and chenille loops, density is compensated separately per design so the outline stitching is not covered by the loops. We normally operate more than 30 computerized special-embroidery machines, supported by laser-cutting and pile-shearing equipment. Sampling and bulk production follow the same process standard.
